Table Tennis Australia (TTA) has joined forces with Australia’s leading Online Membership provider, IMG Sports Technology Group (IMG STG), to provide a sophisticated web-based platform designed to enhance the administration and growth of Table Tennis.

Central to the partnership will be the ability for Table Tennis Australia to re-claim ownership of their valuable digital assets in addition to leveraging IMG STG’s ‘best-in-class’ technology that is currently utilised by over 38 National Sports Organisations and Elite Sporting Bodies around the world.

The new member database and online payments gateway allows the sport of Table tennis to provide better services to members, reduce volunteer administration workload, accurately report participation numbers and attract new participants to the sport. The technology partnership will also see Table Tennis implement a new web site and online ecommerce system as used by many of Australia’s largest commercial sporting entities including the AFL, NRL and NBL.

CEO of TTA, Peter Marriot, is excited at the potential of partnering with one of the global leaders in sport. “IMG STG provides multiple benefits to our sport including regaining our digital assets which will improve the promotion of our sport and our sponsors. Our association with IMG STG has the potential to enhance our brand significantly through provision of a number of web-based modules that are fully integrated to a central database. We can now offer online member payments, event registration, online merchandise and a comprehensive email/newsletter system.’

IMG STG Chief Executive, Matthew Wilson, is delighted to work with an iconic Olympic sport such as Table Tennis. “It is vital for sports to have a world class technology platform that can provide seamless online engagement and payment options for their members. With the exposure from the London Olympics, Table Tennis has an immediate opportunity to grow the sport considerably by using our technology to convert some of the hundreds of thousands of recreational players to active club members.’
