Cycling Australia select IMG Sports Technology Group

IMG Sports Technology Group and Cycling Australia have joined forces to enhance the overall administration and management of cycling throughout the country.

The core technology offering will be the provision of a new membership and event management system allowing the sport to better service its members and reduce volunteer administration workload by allowing members to register and pay online.  In addition, the arrangement will include an online ecommerce system as used by many of Australia’s largest commercial sporting entities including the AFL, NRL and NBL.

CA CEO, Graham Fredericks, says the agreement is an important step to support the growth of the sport. “We need to know more about our members so we can provide them with the high level of service they deserve,” said Mr Fredericks. “We chose IMG Sports Technology Group not just because of what they can do but because of their willingness to work with us in partnership to deliver a better membership experience.”

IMG STG CEO Matthew Wilson, is excited to be partnering with one of Australia’s largest National sporting organisations and fastest growing sports. “We are excited that Cycling Australia has chosen us to provide a national online membership and event registration platform. Cycling is extremely popular and we look forward to working with CA to actively communicate and engage with their members and provide better online services and outcomes to their tens of thousands of participants.”  

The implementation process is now well underway with the launch planned for later this year. The agreement also provides database support for Cycling Australia’s affiliates including BMX Australia and AustCycle. IMG STG’s list of National Sports Organisations across Australia and New Zealand continues to grow with the likelihood of adding to this list in 2011.
